Is there a way to convert a project back to an idea easily, without XOGing it? Thanks!

The Idea and its related Project are distinct things in CA PPM - yes, the button is labeled "Convert," but it really means "Create a related Project from this Idea."

So, you could simply make the Project inactive and keep using the original Idea - it's still there and still active.
