  • 1.  Custom Request Status in Catalog 14.1

    Hello,

This is hopefully a simple question from a novice who should know better...

I am looking at differences between a DEV environment and a QA environment. In this QA environment I have 18 more Service Request categories than I do in the DEV environment.

I looked for a requeststatus.xml file to look for the added statuses but I cannot find a requeststatus.xml file anywhere on either system. Where might these statuses be defined? I cannot find them anywhere.

    Thanks,

    Alan

    Hey Alan,

Request statuses are defined in ..\Service Catalog\view\webapps\usm\locale\icusen\request\requestshared.xml, following has some details:

Modify the Request Status List - CA Service Management - 14.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

When modifying/customizing files like this it is recommended to leverage the customization framework (i.e. ..\Service Catalog\filestore\custom) rather than modifying the base file:

Modify XSL, XML, JavaScript, and Image Files - CA Service Management - 14.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

You also mentioned categories, I think you are referring to the request statuses but if you are talking about service option category/class/subclass these are defined in ..\Service Catalog\view\webapps\usm\locale\icusen\billing\category.xml:

Modify the Category, Class, and Subclass Lists - CA Service Management - 14.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Thanks!

Thank you Jason. My bad... I didn't look in filestore\custom
