  • 1.  RMOGRW/SARGRW Division Operation returns a whole number

I hope someone from CA reads this question.  I am unable to retrieve the remainder when performing a division routine using either RMOGRW and/or SARGRW.  Will CA ever fix this?

    Example:

    4 / 3 = 1.33

    3/ 4 = 0.75

    RMOGRW/SARGRW results:

    4 /3 = 0.01

    3 / 4 = 0.00

    Mike,
As they currently are, RMOGRW/SARGRW will perform the requested math operation, but it will allow only input of whole numbers, and will return only a whole number, with no decimal remainder.

    For example:

     . 12/5 will return 2 (rather than 2.40)
     . 500/125 will return 4

I began testing the last example with 5/1.25 (result of 4), but it would not allow the operation with a number with a decimal. So, I multipled the fraction by 100/100, yielding 500/125, which then permitted the operation.

If you would like to see decimals in the answer, please consider submitting an Idea, for consideration.
