  • 1.  CA Sysview for DB2 - batch reports for IFCIDs 366 and 376 for SQL Incompatibilities

I need to generate reports for all SQL Incompatibilities before completing our V11 upgrade to NFM.  IFCIDs 366 and 376 have been enabled - how can I create batch reports from SMF data to identify these trace records?

In SYSVIEW for Db2, you can use a generic BTRECTRC batch request (https://docops.ca.com/ca-sysview-db2/20/en/reference/batch-reports/general-batch-reports/btrectrc-detail-trace-of-db2-activity-report) to report on both IFCID 366 and 376. Just I would recommend adding GLOBALS WHERE IFCID=366 OR IFCID=376 clause to limit the output (https://docops.ca.com/ca-sysview-db2/20/en/reference/iql-reference/iql-syntax/globals-statement).

And one more point - r20 has added a couple history reports based on IFCID 376 that can be used in batch too.

    Thanks Denis,

We are on r18 so that won’t help me.  I tried to convert INCOMPTD to a batch report, but was not successful – kept getting cryptic syntax errors

I just ran the BTRECTRC with the GLOBALS limit to these two IFCIDs and went from 9M lines to 0 report lines – even though I can see incompatibilities online via V9CHRFUN and INCOMPTD, so I will keep trying…

    Thanks for the help,

       Eileen

    Hi Eileen,

If you share your email with me (Denis.Tronin@ca.com), I will ask the dev team to send you the sample IQL tomorrow. I am pretty sure it is possible to run that new report in r18 too (or with minor changes).

    Thank you,

    Denis
