We have a issue where some of the contractors  were working with the organization a year back and contract got over. now they are re hired but with a different resource id .

Resource Manager want to use only one resource ID to track the allocations from last year and continue.

The resource ID is editable as they are not financially enabled.

Can we change the old resource ID and username with the new one since it is editable from UI

what are the implications of doing so?

    Hi Nazia,

See if this helps Is it possible to change a Resource ID?

There are lot many dependencies once they are financially active, if not you can change as application is allowing you to change.

If it is editable without any specific action then you should be OK to change. That is an indication of the resource not being financially enabled and not having financial data.

If it not editable there has been a work around posted, but using that will result there being WIP data for both the old and new ID, because CA PPM uses the internal ID when processing the entries.
