  • 1.  url_response probe query!

    Hi,

I have a quick question on understanding the monitoring of an URL with authentication. If we monitor one, post checking the availability of the URL, will the probe logout from the user or how does it work?

Any help around this will be much appreciated.

Currently the probe only support basic and window authentication.

it will not do a logout/ logoff  process at this point that would be an ER.

    Hi Gene,

How does it work on a windows authentication? I am just trying to understand the working mechanism when an URL is monitored using an user ID and password.

I believe for windows Auth to work the web server would need to be a IIS web server setup for windows auth.

then when setting up the probe you would use a name such as domain\user to connect to the sessions.

We do not currently support any type of SSO or forms authentication.

    Thanks Britta.

Hence, using this method, there will not be any instances of login logoff issues as the availability is measured by making an authentication?
