johnv were you able to set a Class and Family for Firewall?

You can also create new Classes and Families, for example we have Classes for Server, Router, Switch, etc. out of the box, but none for Firewall.

So you could create a new Class called Firewall and assign that to the family Security, Hardware, etc.

Or create a new Family as well and name it whatever you like.

    Thanks,

    Scott

if the one from Chi-Chen that is correct proposition  is not ok for you, just create a new classs "firewall" under this family:Software.NetworkServer"

Try to avoid as much you can to extend Familly (those provided out of the box is normally more than suffisiant )as you will need to create the extension table etc and then stay compliant with CMBDf

    My 2 cents
