    Hi 

     

    Is it possible to get rid of name of component for FQDN hostname domain  such as ".ABC.com" and metric component name (CPU core) on IM-Trend Dashboard?

     

    If so, please advise.

    Hi Fracis,

     

    I got similar question from my client in last week. (00900863)

    Then I answered them as CAPC have two name in a device:

    1, Hostname: Name resolved by DNS.

    2, System name: Name resolved by SNMP response.

     

     

    Solution:

    ------------

    You can unify the device name without FQDN by clicking "Exclude hostname". See following manual page:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-performance-management/3-2/en/building/discovery/discovery-profiles/

     

    So steps may be checking "Exclude hostname" and rediscover the device.
