  • 1.  Using MS Excel to validate your feed

    Team,

     

    If you wish to spot check if your feed process is working fine for the use-case NEW USER, you may wish to view the IM VST (view submitted task) for Identity Suite.

     

    If you wish an offline approach, with MS Excel and a few query tools, this can be done with the MS Excel formula vlookup.

     

     

    ### This process has been used over CA Support Calls, to help move the case along.  ###

     

     

    1.  Use any ldap client tool (Jxplorer, SoftTerra, Apache Directory studio, ldapsearch, dxsearch) to query the IM userstore, and return the primary identifier, e.g. uid or employeeNumber or HR feed ID.

     

    2.  Use any process to do a similar activity for your feed files, to isolate the same primary identifier, uid or employeeNumber or HR feed ID.

     

    3.  Place both columns in MS Excel and let it assist you.

    (see example below)

     

     

    If you plan to do this more often, it is beneficial to automate this process with a script.
