  • 1.  Email notification with SSL and TLS support for CAPAM

    When i try to configure email setting on credential management for SSL(465) and TLS(587) .

    It's doesn't work.

    For configure input 

    Hostname: smtp.gmail.com

    Server Port: 465 and 587

    Enable SMTP Authentication: Checked

     

    For TLS got message :

    530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. e87sm55942306pfd.165 - gsmtp DEBUG SMTP: got response code 530, with response: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. e87sm55942306pfd.165 - gsmtp  RSET 250 2.1.5 Flushed e87sm55942306pfd.165 - gsmtp DEBUG SMTP: MessagingException while sending, THROW:  com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. e87sm55942306pfd.165 - gsmtp

    For SSL got message :

    Dec 25, 2017 5:14:58 AM com.cloakware.cspm.server.app.r a INFO: Could not connect to email server javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.gmail.com, port: 465, response: -1

     

    So my question is 

    How about Email notification with SSL and TLS support for CAPAM ?

    Is the gmail server working with port 25?  This might be a candidate for the Ideas page to request an enhancement.

    I found one related question in Communities Does CA PAM send e-mail via Gmail?   and the answer suggested using smtp-relay.gmail.com.
