DX Application Performance Management

  • 1.  Web services access on Trial?

    Hello,

I'm looking at implementing CA APM Metrics support into an application.

From what I understand I'll have to use the Metrics Data Web Service for this purpose.

I signed up for a 30 day trial, but cannot seem to access the wdsl definition.

    I tried using http://******.apm.cloud.ca.com:8081/introscope-web-services/services/MetricsDataService?wsdl

But this just times out. If I try https:// and port 443 I get asked for a user/pass. Entering my account credentials doesn't work, and I end up with a 401.

Is it even possible to do this with a trial account? Do I need a license? And do I need an on-premise install for this?

    What am I missing?

The Introscope Web Services API is not currently implemented in the Saas and Trials versions of APM. For reference, here are the APIs available in the Saas version:

API Reference - CA Digital Experience Insights Application Performance Management - CA Technologies Documentation

The API you are referring to is available on premise only. On premise, we have the following APIs available:

API Reference - CA Application Performance Management - 10.5 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Thank you for the answer.

Does Trial give me access to the Saas version APIs? Because when I try to access https://******.apm.cloud.ca.com/apm/appmap/ I just get a timeout.

Maybe I'm missing something, or not using the correct url?

    Hi,

Do you have any updates on this?

Are you still having issues connecting to https://{{hostname}}/apm/appmap/ ? I tried this morning and found no issues. If you do have a problem, it might be best to open a support case and provide the url tested, your username, and tenant id. We can use this information to investigate your instance further.
