Hi,

I am trying to show the List View of an (custom) object within a portlet page tab.

What I see so far is that there is only an indirect way using a (grid) portlet to display object instances on a portlet page - or am I missing something?

Basically the goal would be to display the List View within a tab of a portlet page.

We can't add a custom object list view to a portlet page (as far as I know) - if the logged in user has access to the custom object then they will get a link on the main menu (under a "Custom Objects" section) which we can then move to other areas of the menu (but not to a tab on a page).

You are correct though, a simple object based custom grid portlet could do pretty much most of the things that the standard list view does, and such a thing would then be under your control.
