  • 1.  Removing Update Risk from activities on a change order.

On ServiceDesk 17, how do you prevent users from performing certain activities?

We need to hide the update risk feature

We do not want to give the users the ability to update risks on a change a order, they should rather complete the risk assessment.

    Any ideas?

    Hi James,

I think you should be able to remove that menu option via WSP using the Menu Designer.

The below tech docs may also be helpful somewhat...

In 12.1 can I add or remove File -> menubar items to different roles?

How can I add entries to a menubar?

    Kind Regards,

    Brian

Hi jwood1  - I agree with Brian here.  If you want to prevent a specific set of users, lets say analysts, from being able to do this, you can customize the menubar for that specific form group used by that specific role which those analysts have, and remove that entry from the menu.

    Hope this helps.

The docs that Brian provided are older but still pertain to the current release of the product.

    Thanks,

    Jon I.
