Hello Guys,

We have a case where we want to remove Department OBS of a resource. But when we are trying to do in UI, Clarity does not allow to do that. Once we Remove  and Save, Department OBS again assigned.

So Any suggestion on this?

Are you trying to delete the department on the resource properties page?

Can you check under the financial section of the resource?

If he is financially enabled, the department and location will be set and these are required.

That might explain why the department is being reset on the properties page

Can you check under the financial section of the resource? Resource is Financial InActive but Financial Location and Department were there and that can't be removed.

So Is there any way to remove Department OBS?

Whenever you fill the financial properties of a resource and entry is made into the pac_mnt_resources table.

The resource can then be made inactive financially, but the financial settings are required and therefore can not be removed.

Once a resource was financially activated, the pac_mnt_resources table is populated.

This table population prevents you from removing the department OBS that is a mirror of the financial department.

Agree with Jose, the financial settings once populated cannot be removed.

Any specific purpose of delinking the Department Association?

The other thing you can try is changing the Department/location to the one which in use and correct, if thinking to remove the old association.
