  • 1.  WAC Problem - 14.02

I can access the WAC on my ITCA server without any problem. But after that, when I try to open the list of the computers, I´m getting the following error.

JPA 500: Failed to get List Records

I´ve searched the community but without finding anything like this... Any help will be much appreciated!

Does DSM Explorer work OK? (Make sure you are using the same user in DSM Explorer as you are in the Web GUI)

Can you get other places in the tree such as if you click on software.

If the regular GUI works then try

    Exit IE Explorer

    Caf stop tomcat

    Caf start tomcat

Reopen IE Explorer and try again

"Does DSM Explorer work OK? (Make sure you are using the same user in DSM Explorer as you are in the Web GUI)"

Yes. DSM Explorer works fine and I´m using the same user.

I tried to navigate to other areas and some of them appear to work fine. I clicked on "Queries" and it shows some queries that I´ve created previously.

I´ve just performed your suggestion to stop the tomcat process using 'caf stop'.

After that, the WAC took some time to open again but the error still happening.

You need to open a support issue.  The solution is not obvious.

I found the error message on several catalina.*.log files ...

guess it has something to do with tomcat.

    ID: 8 Response-Code: 200 Content-Type: application/json;charset=utf-8 Headers: {Content-Type=[application/json;charset=utf-8], Date=[Mon, 15 Jan 2018 15:57:10 GMT]} Payload: {"UIServiceResponse":{"message":{"code":"JPA 500","details":"JPA Exception: EntityManager intialization failed ","message":"Failed to get List Records","type":"ERROR"},"status":-1}}

    I will open the case.

    Thank you !

    Hi,

did you manage to resolve the issue?

We have the same error on our new installation.

In order to return the list of computers, the Web Console will submit a Web Services API request.  Web services will route the requested info via AM Object Manager for AM related items, and and SD API server, for SD related items.

We would need to see a ZIP of the logs from the DM, in detail mode, to determine the following:

1- Does the web service trace show the web service methods being called, and returning an error.  If so, is this error in the usage of the web service request, or did one of the ITCM components return an error back to web services?

2- If a request was dispatched to AM or SD manager/APIs, did that request return an error.

Going back to Rich's response, your best course of action is probably to open a support case, and attach the detail logs capturing the problem.

    Hi All,

I have some issue at customer site: may I ask you if issue you had was related to an environment with Oracle Cluster? Thanks in advance,
