Can someone please advise the difference between Alignment and Business alignment fields in CA PPM?
That's a pretty good description. Also, feel free to refer to the following PMO Accelerator Report definitions that describe the Alignment and Business Alignment attributes for an investment:

Alignment is a simple number field with a range of 0-100 which you can use to enter a score for your project.
The Business Alignment attribute is a little more complex. It is a calculated attribute that takes data from other fields on the Business Alignment subpage and displays an overall alignment score for the project based on those combined scores. It is configurable so you can change the factors and the weightings that make up the Business Alignment scores for your business.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the advice.
