  • 1.  How can I test out Storage group probe without the the hardware

    Hi,

     

    Would like to know how can I test out storage group celerra, clariion, hp_3par, netapp probe without the the hardware.
    I would also like to check if anyone has ran celerra, clariion, hp_3par probe to monitor (EMC,HP) Simulators to configure and monitor the simulators for lab or demo.


    I google and found List of VSA Virtual Storage Appliances and SAN Storage Simulators that has simulators for testing.

    None of the storage probes have built in simulators so it can be tested.

    Most of the probes make api calls and it is necessary to have client software from the storage vendor, some of which are not freely available.

    Potentially with a simulator it may be possible to get some to work.

    See the docops page for each probe to find out what the requirements are.
