  • 1.  Issue while monitoring EC2 with aws probe

    Posted Jan 31, 2018 07:58 AM

    Hi ,

We are using AWS probe Version 5.26.

We are able to collect QOS data for the same from EC2 but inventory in USM portlet is not updating. What could be the possible reason behind this behavior.

    Thanks

    Aditi

Hi Aditi, could you please specify what is not updating?

This sounds to me like it could be a correlation issue. This article may help to troubleshoot the scenario:

    Hi Philip ,

This is the actual scenario :

we are monitoring aws ec2 instances from two of our collectors.

ec2 devices are getting discovered from one collector but not from other collector .

There is no issue witrh credentials as i have used same in dev and they are fetching all instances.

    Kindly help.

Hi Anmol, I suggest opening a case with Support so that my team can help you to investigate. When opening the case, please provide the .cfg and loglevel 5 logs from the probe (Nimsoft\probes\application\aws\). Grab the config/logs from both the working and non-working aws probes.

    Hi Philips ,

Can you please provide us some info on how to remove ALREADY discovered aws objects from database so that it does not show in USM portal .

    Thanks

Hi Anmol, check out this link on how to delete devices:

    Hope that helps!
