  • 1.  CA DXI APM unable to instrument .Net Agent

    Posted Feb 01, 2018 05:23 AM

    Hi,

I'm implementing CA DXI APM. I monitor the apps that runs on .NET 4.5.

After I installed the .net agent (with followed the instructions) and restarted the IIS, CA DXI APM did not captured my apps transactions.

I checked the log (IntroscopeAgent.PerfMonCollectorAgent_exe.log), looks the agent is trying to contact the EM at localhost:5001. This agent should contact accordance to url 624081.apm.cloud.ca.com:443 that I defined at IntroscopeAgent.profile.

Has anyone experienced this issues before? Please share to me

    Regards,

    Rio Satriyo

PerfMon is just that; it collects Windows Performance Counters and is not the .NET agent. DXI assumes that you've implemented the Browser Agent. Have you done this and can you see the snippet in the page contents?

It also looks like you're using our cloud-based solution. You should open a support ticket for this issue.

    Hi Davis,

Actually I have opened ticket to CA Support and have responded by Customer Care Representative. But due to I use the DXI free trial, they could not transfer my case to support. So I tried it to raised it in communities.

I used DXI free trial for PoC purpose.

Here is the scenario. I use DXI AXA to monitor Android mobile apps. The mobile apps contacts the apps server. APM to be used to monitors the apps server.

Probably from attached logs and introscopeAgent.profile can be your investigation. I need your advice

    Regards,

    Rio

Okay, I have a better understanding now.

So are you getting any metrics from the mobile app you wrapped in the SDK?

    Hi Davis,

In ]AXA yes, but no in  APM.

From the introscopeagent.profile I attached, did I missed something?

from network perspective, port 443 already allowed.
