  • 1.  Securing a task sub page

    Posted Feb 02, 2018 02:15 AM

We have a sub page on the task object. The requirement here is to make the page secure by providing access to only a few admin groups and not to all the users on the system.

I do not see the Secure option that is available on the Project sub pages to make sub pages secure. Display Conditions will not help in my requirement.

Is there any other way to make the sub page secure or restrict access?

    Appreciate any guidance on this.

Looking at 15.2 there is no secure option for task edit properties sub pages.

I created a Subpage for the task edit properties page and a section in it.

There is the display condition option

That allows you to restrict the access to eg members of a group.

My understanding it that when you have an attribute on subpage with a display condition and you have it elsewhere eg. in the task list you can see it there. If an attribute is on a secured subpage its values are plank elsewhere where it occurs.

    Thank you Urmas,

My requirement is I need to provide access to the sub page to only selected security groups and I do not seem to have an option to select security groups on the display condition. The display conditions only display the Object attributes.

I tried this on both 14.3 and 15.3. The results are the same.

Could you tell me what am I missing here.

    Hi Meenakshi,

Select the  sub page for the object  and  you will have the options to select the Groups.

You are halfway there. Select any eg. project

Select Operation instead of Object and Field

Have your pick and carry on.

    User friendly - eh?
