 In what basis device down alerts will trigger in Spectrum for UIM models ,Hope it works on icmp timeout only .Can someone confirm if i am missing any.

Yes, UIM models are modeled as pingable in Spectrum side. Unless Spectrum reconciled the existing SNMP models with UIM models.

If a managed device stops responding to polls, the CA Spectrum fault isolation algorithm determines whether to create a critical alarm for the UIM hosts or suppress its alarm state.

So if i want to increase timeout means whether we need to do in DCM Timeout and Retry  setting or need to do under VNM  fault isolation setting ?

I have been told that DCM Timeout and Retry are applicable for pingable models as well.
