I m trying to deploy the robot in esxi 6.5 but it is not getting deployed.
do you want to deploy a robot on a vCenter box ?
esxi is hypervisor and not OS.
like rhev(redhat enterprise virtualization) it is also running linux in the backend
so will it be possible to deploy robot in this, and in discovery wizard it is taking it up as a device. @YU_ISHITANI
Thank you very much for response.
Unfortunately, you can not deploy a robot on esxi since its hypervisor (not linux OS).
You may want to use
vmware probe to collect hypervisor oriented metrics.
sysloggtw probe to collect syslog event as Shunsuke said.
snmptd probe to collect snmp trap (vmware hypervisor has ability to send snmp trap)
No ,You cant install robot on esxi .it is a bare metal . You can monitor the performance using vmware probe for esxi and hardware status can be monitored using SNMP collector for snmp get
I assume you would like to monitor your esxi.
You can monitor your esxi from vmware probe. However, log monitoring is not available.
Some people are monitoring esx log by sysloggtw.
You need to setup your esx to send syslog to sysloggtw.
