    Hi Aamir,

    1. What is your current setup, i.e Conventional or Advanced Availability?

    2. From which server did you install the option?

    3. If you do same via pdm_options command instead of the GUI does it work OK?

    Kind Regards,

    Brian

    Aamir,

Is your NX_ROOT on your e:  drive?  what's the exact path ?

    Here's a scenario to consider:

    1) e:\program files (x86)\CA  --> already exists

    2) you try to install SDM now,  installer detects that you do not have 8.3 enabled

    3) you enable it on e:  drive,

    4) this enforcement somehow does not fix program files (x86)  to receive 8.3 yet,  because the folder was created prior to enabling 8.3

    5) one option in this case is, to stop all programs using e:\program files (x86) folder,    rename  e:\program files (x86) to   e:\ORIG_program files (x86)  (NOTE, you cannot append something, you HAVE to Prepend something in this use case).    create a new folder called  e:\program files (x86)  (this folder now should receive the 8.3 name),  move the contents of e:\ORIG_program files (x86)  to  e:\program files (x86)

I'm wondering if you ran into this situation because the options are still showing up as In Progress

    Aamir,

I also had this status once, it happened when I had a database problem during the setup.

The parameter was not properly updated in the options table.

I see one of the parameter in "In Progress" is MAIL_SMTP_HOST_PORT

Try this to force the value

    pdm_options_mgr -b -s MAIL_SMTP_HOST_PORT -v 25 -a pdm_option.inst

(the -b flag force to update the Options table)

Verify if it turn your MAIL_SMTP_HOST_PORT from "in Progress" to "Installed"

I had to do for all parameters "In Progress". Hope this helps

    Regards,

    Chris
