  • 1.  How to view the document or image in the attachments tab without saving to the local disk?

    Hi,

How to view the document or image in the attachments tab without saving to the local disk?

We use chrome to view the attachments.  When we click to the images or document names, it always download to local disk.   But the PDF can be opened directly from the browser.

    Hi Komgrit,

Do you get this behavior on all supported browsers or a specific one?

    Hey Komgrit,

Image Preview is a feature with in xFlow Analyst interface (14.1.3 and above release).  We do not have this in the Classic UI that you are using in your sample screenprint above.

I do not think we have preview available for all document types.

Actually, I just realized that if you wanted to open the file with in the browser itself (as opposed to download prompt), you could edit the  web.xml file (back it up first) and remove the extension you do not want the browser to do a Save As.

    Save and restart SDM Tomcat

    pdm_tomcat_nxd -c stop

    wait a minute

    pdm_tomcat_nxd -c start

    Retest now.

Unless your browser is forcing that file type for a download (browser policies controlled by network admins), SDM should not inherently force you to download the file.  The file is still downloaded by the browser to its Temp internet files folder as part of its normal operation.
