    Hi Amit,

The Watch is created on the Model Type. Hence all models that belong to that Model Type "family" will inherit the watch.

Then you can manually activate the watch for the desired models.

It is covered in this CA Spectrum guide:

Create and Edit a Watch - CA Spectrum - 10.2 to 10.2.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Thanks,

    Silvio

    Hi Silvio,

I think this is very tough work , if I have 1000+ servers , can we apply through any policies.

    regards,

    Amit Rai

Oh... Ok... Maybe there is a limit then. Which version of Spectrum are you using? Did you try to open a ticket about it?

If you hit the limit, I suggest you reduce the watch interval and use event rules to get an alert only after a certain period of time.

Christophe is correct, there is a limit so you would need to use event rules to extend that time if needed.

    Cheers

You create a watch you attach to the Model Type Host_Server or Host_*** (whatever is your model) disabled by default. Then you create a Global Collection only containing your Windows Servers (based on the appropriate criteria) and you create a Policy with the Policy Manager to turn that watch on only on the servers which are part of that Global Collection. This is one way of doing it!

    Hi Christophe,

Could you please clarify which attributes you have used to turn on the watches?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Marcelo
