Escape Flowdock chat Markdown auto-formatting for URLs containing emoji syntax

I am trying to share URLs which contain syntax that is being auto-formatted into emoji.  The specific syntax is ":x:", which auto-formats into a large "X" emoji in the middle of the URL.  We cannot work around this issue using [link](/link) syntax, because the ":x:" portion of the URL still auto-formats into something other than the correct link text.

We are currently working around this issue by surrounding the URL with back ticks to format as code, but this requires highlighting and copy-pasting the URL manually, which is inconvenient.  It would be helpful to be able to have the link auto-format correctly with escaped colons or emoji syntax, either with the fully-displayed URL, or using the markdown [link](/link) syntax.
