  • 1.  Performance with mainframe TDM masking module

    Hi,

     

    I am using mainframe CA Test Data Manager  to mask files present in ZOS. I have a file in which 5 fields need to be masked and it has 60 million records.File has header and trailer records so i skip these records during masking using condition in the layout file as given below.

     


    1,RECNAME=FILE-RECORD,,,,,,,,,,,
    2,RECORD-TYPE,00002,00000,2,String,,GT,00,,,,
    2,RECORD-TYPE,00002,00000,2,String,,LT,99,AND,,,
    3,FILE-RECORD,00300,0,1,STRUCTURE,,,,,,,

    3,FILE-DATE,00010,00013,2,String,,,,"DATEFORMAT:YYYY-MM-DD",,,

    like this 4 more fields

     

    But when i run the job it is taking 4 hours to complete.Is there a way I can improve the performance?

    Hi Abhinav,

     

    Try to increase the MIPS. Check with your MF DBA he will be able to give job class with higher MIPS this might increase your performance.
