  • 1.  USS Performance Issue's

    Hello, 

     

    The catalog and USS both the applications are normally slow. When we try to open any item, it takes few seconds to load and each activity takes few seconds which gives a feeling the overall system is very slow.

     

    We earlier have made a change in EEM which improved the performance little by keeping the group search filter.

     

    Wondering do we have any other best practises to improve the performance.

     

    Out SDM is okay compared with these two applications and SDM use only windows authentication not EEM

    Hello Sharath

     

    Can you tell us what version of Service Catalog you're using and which Service Catalog patches you're installing? Is USS integrated with both Service Catalog and Service Desk? Where do you see performance problems, is it when you log in, when you create/submit a request etc.? If you can provide more information about the symptoms of the problem, it may help us in out investigations.

    Thanks for the response.

     

    We currently at R14.1 Cp2 and USS integrated with both Catalog and SDM.

     

    It has delay, during login and each time the item loads and little more delay when we submit.

    Hi Sharath

     

    The first thing I would suggest would be going to the latest patch level. The current patch level for Service Catalog is 14.1.04.1. This involves installing cumulative 4 (RO96941) and rollup 1 (RO98013).

    Alternatively, cumulative 5 is being released at the end of March, or the beginning of April (although these dates are currently subject to change).

     

    Once you've updated Service Catalog/USS, if you still see problems, please log a case so we can investigate this problem further.
