    Hello Community.

Do you know if there is a POWERPACK available out there to monitor an IBM MQ Appliance?

    Thanks

    Luca,

I Think you have  to open a support ticket to get the PP installer for MQ. it is available in pre 10.x version but now I am not able to  find in support.ca.com and market place.

    Hi Luca/Junaid,

There are 2 parts to the APM extension/PP for monitoring for MQ:

IBM WebSphere MQ - CA Application Performance Management - 10.7 - CA Technologies Documentation

    1. The standalone MQ Monitor agent, which monitors MQ Managers & Queues, is available for download from support.ca.com. You need to download the "Introscope Agent Installers" package and inside that you will find "IntroscopeStandaloneAgentPPInstaller.*" for Unix & Windows.
    2. For the MQ Java Connectors part, which monitors MQ calls made by Java applications, that comes with the standard Java agent installer.

    Hope that helps

    Regards,

    Lynn

Is this usable for MQ Appliances?

    Not a unix box.

    Hi Luca,

The MQMonitor agent can be installed on Windows or Unix and then connect to remote Queue Managers.

So provided the access has been granted there should be no reason why the agent cannot connect to Queue Managers running under an MQ Appliance e.g.

Configure MQ Agent - CA Application Performance Management - 10.7 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Hope that helps
