  • 1.  Using SmartBear's AlertSite with Websydian Apps

    G'day All,

I'm looking at adding SmartBear AlterSite monitoring on a Websydian public accessible website.

    Has anyone done this before?

Are there any gotchas I should be aware of?

I'm looking to do two types of monitor:

    1. Just do a simple URL monitor to check the webserver is up and running

    2. Do a more complex health check type monitor that will call a custom Websydian webpage to check that all the backend components are functioning to access generated application programs and data

BTW - we are still on 6.1 of Plex - but moving up to latest release shortly.

    Hi Darryl,

I use Website performance and availability monitoring | Pingdom   and check api and websites. No gotchas and does exactly as it says on the tin. I would like to specify a HEAD Http method to be really correct but settle for the GET.

Basically I create a page that has monitor status results that only make sense to me and when the monitor screen scrapes I can watch for key words.

    Good on you.
