Can CA IDM TEWS url be configured in https(SSL) mode instead of default http mode?

Once you've configured your application server to support SSL, then you can access the IDM TEWS URL over SSL. The process for doing this depends on which application server you're using.

in our case, CA IM is deployed on IBM WAS and IBM WAS is already on SSL. Do we have to make any CA IDM related changes on WAS to enable TEWS on SSL ?  Thanks!

You don't need any additional configuration in-order to enable SSL to the TEWS urls. Follow the below pattern to access the IDM TEWS url:

IDM Admin application url - https://<LB url or Hostname:port>/iam/im/<IME_NAME>/ui7/index.jsp

TEWS Url - https://<LB url or Hostname:port>/iam/im/TEWS6/<IME_NAME>?wsdl
