  • 1.  Compatibility Internet Information Server (IIS) version for CASM 17.0

    I am trying to install Service Desk Manager 17.0 on Windows server 2016.

    Windows Server 2016 out of the box contains Internet Information Server (IIS) version 10.

    Want to know is there any compatibility issue if I install service desk manager 17.0 with Internet Information Server (IIS) version 10.

    Document seem to compatibility shows support Windows server 2016 but IIS version 7, 8.

    Can't find any article that talk about downgrading IIS to version 7, 8 for Windows server 2016.

    Hello Guan,

     

    We shall check with our CA Engineering team if there is a certification statement on IIS 10 from Windows 2016, and ITSM 17.

     

    Certified alternatives in the meantime are:

     

    • Windows 2012 and IIS 7 or 8.
    • Windows 2016 and Tomcat web server.

    We have had some feedback from the Product Management team that the Service Desk 17.0 and 17.1 validation for Windows 2016 also included the validation of IIS 10. So at this point there is no additional validation required.
