ACF2

  • 1.  Documentation on the API

A client wants to write some code that interacts with ACF2.  If possible, it might be advantageous to {write it in Java (on a Java Virtual Machine in OMVS) and to interact with ACF2 through the API} rather than {issuing ACF2 commands and then examining the text messages that ACF2 issues in response}.

    1) Is it possible to access the ACF2 API via OMVS?

    2) Can anyone point me to documentation on the API?  I found mention of it in a manual addressing ACF2/CICS, but I doubt that's what I'm after.

    Hello Robert,

The easiest way to interact with CA ACF2 in an OMVS environment would be to use CA LDAP Server.

Details can be found in the documentation for the product -

CA System z Security Communication Servers (DSI, LDAP, PAM) - Source Home - CA System z Security Communication Servers (…
