Subject: End of Service Announcement for CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.2.1 (aka JasperReports Server 6.2.1)

 

CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with the CA Support Policy and Terms, available at https://support.ca.com, please consider this message as your written notification that we are discontinuing product updates, effective Thursday, June 28th, 2018 for

  • CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.2.1
  • Jaspersoft Studio 6.2.1 for CA PPM
  • Jaspersoft Studio 6.2.1 for CA PPM with CA JDBC Adapter
  • ALL cumulative patches for Jaspersoft 6.2.1

 

TIBCO provides the Jaspersoft platform upon which CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server is built. TIBCO has announced that JasperReports Server 6.2.1 will reach its end-of-service on Thursday, June 28th, 2018. CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.2.1 was released as part of CA PPM 14.3 in September 2015.

After June 28th, 2018, CA Technologies will no longer provide any fixes, patches, service packs, updates, upgrades, programmatic changes, new features, or coverage for updated or new operating systems, databases, browsers, or any additional components for CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.2.1. CA Support may submit potential security and vulnerability issues to TIBCO Support for possible remediation. Any such remediation provided by TIBCO Support to CA Support will be made available to CA customers.

Customers can continue to contact CA Support (Level 1) after Thursday, June 28th, 2018, for basic installation, administration, configuration, usage, and trouble-shooting of CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.2.1 on an "as is" basis if installed in conjunction with a still-supported CA PPM version. If a workaround cannot be determined, the customer understands that their problem will be deemed "irresolvable." Customers do NOT need to make any specific request in order to receive this Level 1 Support beyond Thursday, June 28th, 2018. Extended Support contracts are not specifically available for CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.2.1.

At this time, we encourage you to plan for the migration to CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.4.2 as soon as possible, so you can take full advantage of the features and enhancements this release has to offer. CA Business Intelligence Jaspersoft Reports Server 6.4.2 was released as part of CA PPM 15.4 and will work with any still-supported CA PPM versions.
