I have a Scheduled_dt_tm field which i want to set to Null. But i am not finding any option in the dropdown to set it to null in fastdatamasker. Do we have any way with fastdatamasker?
Can you try using SQLFunction as the mask type and use NULL for the function SQL to see if it works?
Thanks Anil kumar. It worked.
But once it set to null, I tried updating it back to some date and time. Its not updating to any date using FDM.
I tried using sqldeveloper, it updated. Not sure why its not happening with Fastdatamasker?
Also I would like to know more on how to use mask type 'SQLFUNCTION'. What all can use in Function SQL field.
You can use any SQL function supported by the database or a user-defined function created on the database. You can refer the below link for more details.
Masking Functions and Parameters - CA Test Data Manager - 4.4 - CA Technologies Documentation
Do you have more details about the PL/SQL functions and the calls to "SQLFUNCTION" provided by FDM?
The customer have PL/SQL functions and wants to use it, how we can call that functions?
Thanks in advance
gutcr01 see the following documentation for details:Masking Functions and Parameters - CA Test Data Manager - 4.5 - CA Technologies Documentation
The SQLFUNCTION function lets you use a native database function or a user-defined function. You can also use this function to use normal SQL operators to process combinations of other columns. All SQL functions with the exception of aggregate functions must work.
If you have further questions, I would recommend starting a new thread.
Which masking function did you use to update the values? Also make sure you un-check keep nulls otherwise FDM will retain nulls for these rows and not apply the masking function.
