  • 1.  The metrics in CA AXA do not add up.

    Hi,

I've installed CA AXA in a lab, health check is GREEN and I can access CA AXA Console.

I've instrumented an app, metrics are flowing - happy days!

    But...

Something doesn't add up - I used few different browsers and even different laptops (different OS and different user) to access the app. I can see that users are counted correctly, but sessions do not correspond to the users count.

    Does anyone see this before?

Any ideas how the Sessions count could get out of sync with other metrics that are being collected (e.g.: Users, HTTPS Requests, Page Hits, etc.)?

    Attached two screenshots.

    Thanks in advance,

    Maxim.

This issue is fixed now, just wanted to let the community know - the problem was NOT ENOUGH RAM on the machine that is running CA AXA.

After bringing the total RAM of the box to 24 GB (initially we had 16 GB) - we could see the sessions and other missing metrics in the UI.

How did we find it out - we saw that "Jarvis Onboarding Tomcat Instance" job was failing few minutes after restart of all the processes and dmesg reported that it was killed due to OutOfMemory.

After that it was easy. :-)

    Best regards,

    Maxim.
