  • 1.  CA API GW hosted in PrivateSubnet

    Hi All,

Our AWS team has setup one appliance in private subnet.I need to configure it.I have few questions.

1)whenever CA API GW instance is up in AWS. When I check for Ifconfig details it shows eth0 is configured without configuring Network Settings?

2)Whatever the IP address I use to change the eth0 interface.Still appliance is accessible through the AWS url?

I want to take some ip address in private subnet and configure the appliance. And also restrict the appliance accessibility with AWS url.So that I can provide my own url to access the appliance.

    Can anyone suggest on this.

    Dear d.pradeepkumar1 ,

As per my understanding, the machine/network on AWS is virtual machine/virtual network, you cannot configure the AWS network the same way as physical network.

The document on amazon should help,

Scenario 2: VPC with Public and Private Subnets (NAT) - Amazon Virtual Private Cloud

    Another document on internet,

Creating VPC with Public and Private subnets - Assistanz

If you still have doubt, consulting amazon support is the best.
