What is the right approach to backup restore API gateway? I know similar questions are posted and answered on this forum, however, there was never a dedicated approach for software gateway. e.g

    1)
Backing up and Restoring a CA API Gateway docker container  This suggests using GMU/ssgbackup.sh and MySQL even though ssgbackup.sh has option to backup database.

Back Up Gateways - CA API Gateway - 9.2 - CA Technologies Documentation
These just use ssgbackup.sh or API no separate MySQL backup/restore step

We are looking to use the gateway file system backup (at OS level) and mysql dump, however not sure the correct sequence to follow as when trying to restore the DB, it broke the replication between two DB nodes

    Good afternoon,

The backup procedure for both software and appliance is what is outlined in your 2b step (Back Up Gateways - CA API Gateway - 9.3 - CA Technologies Documentation ). The community post that you outlined goes into detail around the replication that needs to be rebuilt after a restore (Restore Gateways - CA API Gateway - 9.3 - CA Technologies Documentation ).

    Sincerely,
