  • 1.  Request data arguments not populated in CA SV Live recording

    Hi Team,

    Im trying to record a live service in workstation 

    Protocol used is HTTP and the transcation is  stateless after recording im trying to open VSI file in that file request data arguments  not populated even in my request im having arguments.Due to which am not able to  use magic string .

    What version of DevTest are you running?

    Also, when you closed out the recording, did you apply any specific Data Protocol Handlers (or DPHs)?

    DevTest relies on these DPHs to parse the incoming requests and generate operations, signatures, etc. to align requests and responses.

    As a Best Practice, when you execute a recording, ensure that you save a copy of the Raw Traffic File (1st panel in the Wizard).  This raw traffic file can be replayed so you can tune / configure the DPHs according the requirements.  The raw traffic file enables the recorder to replay the traffic without re-recording the live flow between the two applications.
