  • 1.  Security log not available on ntevl probe

    I have been going through ntevl probe and found that security log is missing from the ntevl probe due to which i am unable to monitor any alert related to event ids. I have tried to downgrade and upgrade the ntevl probe version but its unable to still pic the security log tab, let me know how we can process it further to monitor security related tab.

     

    Related details:-

    Ntevl probe version: 4.30

    Robot Version: 7.80

    OS: Windows 2008 R2, 64 bit

    Hi ,

     

    Would like to confirm if you have selected the security log file to be monitored which is not selected by default 

    under setup-> properties

    Hi ,

     

    Can try with deleting the probe and fresh deploying latest 4.31 GA

     

    Also run can callback "get_log_files" via probe gui  (CTRL+P) on the probe and see if any logs returned

    I have tried the steps shared by you, i am unable to proceed the steps "get_log_files" via gui. The probe keeps in connecting stage and there after the i cannot run - get_log_file.

    Steps followed:-

     

    1. Unistalled the ntevl probe.

    2. reinstalled v.4.31 GA ntevl

     

    Below snapshot for reference.

    Hi @Shubhanker Dubey, is the probe activated when you are checking the properties tab? When the probe is deactivated you see only 'System' and 'Application' as in your screenshot

    Hi Marco, I am checking the probe in activated state in which i am able to see only 'System' and 'Application'.

    Only you are facing issue with security logs only with that server ? How about in other servers

    Issac08: Its issue with Security logs only. Issue is same for few other servers as well with windows OS.
