I have a job in the activity window I am trying to deactivate but no matter what I have done, it will not.
I have tried changing the status, cancel recursive, etc.
Is the job embedded in a job plan ? Than you must deactivate the job plan.
Do you get any error messages? What is the current status of the job?
What type of job is it ? Unix, windows or perhaps R3 ?
What status do you see under "details"?
Joachim - I have individual and embedded jobs. Agreed on the deactivation of the job plan. The only "error" message I get is that it is still active even though we have gone to the activity window and the statistics window and cancel/deactivated the jobs. They are various objects like events and SQL
Pete - Well, it varies on the object. More often or not it says END_ABNORMALY.
It is just puzzling/frustrating to me how difficult it sometimes seems to cancel a object in AUTOMIC.
I run into the same behavior myself, but it's because there's still and 'Active' job in a nested Workflow.
By default, the Activities Window shows the items in 'hierarchical view', try changing the view and see if you see any active jobs still.
Hope this helps.
Hi RichardIn v10 we have the same problem, we opened a ticket , they said upgrade, we upgraded to 10.0.2+build 644 still has issue.
I think it is program bug.
Hello everyone, I think I got it.
We restarted out AUTOMIC server and it then allowed us to deactivate/delete our jobs!
Thanks to everyone for your help!
