I don't remember... is there a variable I can check inside of a precondition loop (via RE-EVALUATE) to count how many times I have evaluated my precondition? I want to stop after "n" iterations. I can build and manipulate my own variable to track this, but would rather not unless it is my only option.
We were using the "time since activation" condition as a loop timeout mechanism, but discovered that this rule checks the activation time for the workflow regardless of weather or not the workflow has been paused for other reasons. We had a production workflow stall for an hour due to abend recovery and when it was restarted the "time since activation" check on a later step was instantly satisfied when we actually needed it to loop several times.
