How to do "One-time overrides" for JOBS objects?

Has anyone encountered the need to make a "one-time override" edit to a JOB? While this question could apply to any JOBS object, I am asking in particular for "INFORMATICA" JOBS and the need to do a restart on a different workflow step and not rerun the whole thing over again.

In Informatica JOBS in the "Informatica" tab, the default for "Start from Task" is "Start". Now when the JOB cancels and a restart is needed, how can I attempt to restart the JOB using a "One-time override" to manually change the "Start from Task" to another workflow step in Informatica without EDITING the actual JOB. The JOB would be in blocked status in a JOBP object that would still be active.

Any suggestions on this topic would be greatly appreciated!
