service pack version numbers

Hi,

The version numbers for the Automation Engine are really confusing. I read the documentation, and it says it uses the

abb-bcc

  • a - the last digit of the year
  • bbb - the current day of the year
  • cc - the hotfix number of the day
But that's impossible to figure out. what does the "number of the day" mean

Looking at my client versus my automation engine, I see
9.00A 506-9C1
9.00A 517-7C1

So from what I can figure out one of these was released on the 69th day of the year, the other was released on the 177th. But they both say C1. So are they both version 9, but I don't know what C1 stands for? Is it sp11hf1 or hf2? Or is it sp12 (which doesn't exist)? I would assume C is a hex character, but I doubt it.

Is there a list that has version number corresponding to Service Pack, and hotfix?
