Automic Workload Automation

Nach einem Upgrade der One Automation Engine zur version 10.0.8, funktioniert das DB-Change Tool nicht richtig wenn es auf Werte stößt, die Sonderzeichen enthalten. Folgende Fehlermedlungen sind in der Log-Datei vorhanden:

 U0021437 Line '3': An attempt was made to define a new value 'ARBE.....\....NTRAL\.....\BCW\....199' for the attribute 'FOLDER_NAME' with invalid characters (Valid characters: A-Z, 0-9, $, @, _,- , ., #). Processing is canceled.

Dieses Problem hängt mir Veränderungen, bzgl. mit der Bearbeitung von Sonderzeichen zusammen, die in den Utilities Version 10.0.8 der eingefeuert wurden

 

Workaround: Einen Workaround stellt solange keine neue Version 10 Release bevorsteht, die Benutzung der DB-Change Utility der Version 10.0.6 dar. Diese Ausgabe arbeitet nämlich tadellos mit der One Automation Version 10.0.8.

This is very helpful and a good workaround, however please consider that this is only valid for the DBChange Utility. In other cases (e.g. loading Initialdata) it is mandatory that the Version of the DBLoad Utility has the same version than the Automation Engine future version.

To ensure that you do not have a version mix up which might cause issues later, please install the utilities of the older version beside the regular utilities in a separate directory and use the db change utility out of the separate one. (you can also just take out the relevant dbchange utility files from the binaries and copy/paste it into a separate directory.
