According to my research, installing an AE in an Amazon Web Services EC2 is not much different from installing it in a VM.
The difficult part is to include the Cloud into your environment, mainly for security reasons.
It is recommended to get assistance from both Automic's Professional Services and Amazon to make sure the integration is done right.
Otherwise, if you understand the basics of using EC2 instances (setting up SSH keys, user rights, EC2 firewall/proxy configuration), it is just like installing the product on a regular VM.
