Script command to stop a Client + Database Maintenance question

Our UC4 database comes for patching from time to time.
Until now, just as a precaution I have brought everything down but stopping all of our Engine Components on my Host.

Now I have a requirement from business to keep certain client up and stop others.

I'm sure there is a Script command I can use to do this but I can't find it. I though it may be TOGGLE_SYSTEM_STATUS or MODIFY_SYSTEM but don't think it's either.

Can someone tell me what it is?

A second question that springs to mind....

If me UC4 database goes down for a period of time, say 15 minutes, will this actually cause problems for Jobs that may be running, either SQL Jobs trying to connect to me UC4 database (I think these might just keep retrying) or unix/windows Jobs trying to write back to my UC4 Database?
Or will they just wait for Database to come back up?
