This is a very useful and helpful "tool" for customers looking for a list of changes between the version they are currently on and the version they are planning to upgrade to!

eg: What are the changes between version 10.0.8 and 11.2.2 ?

When you run this, you will get an email with a list and description of the changes/differences between the two versions, a "short" list of objects affected, and recommendation on how to get around it.

Implemented on V10 with V10 capabilities. Hence the answer is NO.

Hi Josef, leider ist der Checker auf Version 10.0.2 nicht lauffähig. (Case REQ00129496). Einige SQLIs lassen sich mit Vorschau abfragen. Aber es gibt seitens Automic keinerlei Beschreibung oder Hilfe.

Hat nochjemand das Problem? Gibt es dafür eine Lösung? Beim Ausführen des Objektes brechen WPs ab und und es werden Quarantäne Meldungen erzeugt.
Wir wollen im Juni auf V12.0.1 Upgrade und uns bleibt so nur eine sehr lange Liste aus dem Upgrade Checker aus dem Automic Download-Bereich.

Das war beim Umstieg von V8 auf V10 besser.

It’s really annoyingly, that the tool is not completely working in case the Automation Engine version is lower than 10.0.6. Unfortunately it’s because of a bug, so there is no simple trick to get it working completely.

However, in case of some SQLI should not be performed during the check, they can be renamed. The tool doesn’t run SQLIs with a different object name prefix than “CYCK”.

In the following example2 SQLIs were renamed to “OUT.OF.ACTION_CYCK…”, so they were skipped during the check:

Maybe this can help to get the tool running – rename SQLIs which causes the WP crash.

There is not additional description for the tool. The tool itself uses regular object and functions, which are described in the documentation anyhow.

It is recommended to use the tool tougher or in parallel with the upgrade documentation:

ich habe mir gerade die Releasenotes angesehen. Woe komme ich zur Voraussetzung 2 (PackageManager 1.2.0 and above is required.) Downloaden kann ich die ja. Und welche ist die richtige? Es gibt ja auch Version 2.x und 3.x, die finde ich aber nicht im Compatibility Checker. Und eine Dokumentation dazu gibt es auch nicht, weder online noch als Download.

The Compatibility Matrix shows the dependencies of Package Manager and Automation Engine.

Here an example: Package Manger version 3.0 requires Automation Engine 12.1:

Wenn Sie Problem mit dem Package Manager, dann bitte in einer passenden Diskussion hier im Forum behandeln oder ein Ticket beim Support aufmachen.

Ich kann nur sagen, dass ich das Package runterladen konnte und dann mit PM v2 und v3 laden konnte.

das Problem ist mittlerweile geklärt. Die Meldung kommt wohl, weil wohl auf der Ziel-URL http und https-Dinge gemixed werden. DL und Import hat nun funktioniert.

After downloading the Upgrade Checker from marketplace it can be installed using the Plugin Manager.

• Logon to a user Client - the Client which should be used to run the tool (e.g. Admin or Housekeeping Client)
• Navigate to "Packs" at the "Administration" Perspective
• Click "Install Pack" and choose the Upgrade Checker zip file downloaded before:

• After a successful installation looks like:

ich hatte gelesen, dass der Upgrade Checker in Version 10.0.6 eine Herausforderung darstellt und bei Version 10.0.02 gar nicht läuft. Könnte das auch  schon für Version 10.0.4 zutreffen ?

Ich wünsche ein schönes Woende !

Also auf unserer 10.0.3 lief er ohne Probleme.
