possible to make JDBC connection (connection object) to Oracle database and define service name
instead of SID?
Now I finally understand the difference between Oracle and Oracle OCI. If I understand you correctly we use settings as follows:
Oracle when we want to define SID for connection to the database
Oracle OCI when we want to use TNS names from Oracle client
Your help save me from a lot of trouble. With your suggestion, I will just change few connection objects instead of changing 300 SQL jobs :-).
Just one more question :-) is there any documentation for Parameter and Value in Additional parameter section of SQL connection object (list of possible values for parameters)?
