Java Work Process (JWP) mandatory in v12

I discovered recently that the Agents sheet in the Administration perspective of the Automic Web Interface (AWI) does not work if no Java Work Process (JWP) is running. I contacted Automic Support, and was informed that starting with version 12, the JWP is considered mandatory. A note in the AE v12 Installation Guide confirms this:
As of v12 several important functions in the Automation Engine and thus AWA depend on the JWP being installed and running. Therefore the JWP's installation is mandatory.
Most features actually work even without a JWP running though. Also, just for troubleshooting it is still useful to know which features actually rely on the JWP.

The v11 documentation provides a list of features that require the JWP:
    • Single Sign-on (via KDC)
    • Adaptive ERT calculation
    • Function Export with references
    • Application Release Automation Integration
    • ECC Global Search
So here is an updated list of v12 features that rely on the JWP (I grouped AWI features together):
    • Single Sign-on (via KDC)
    • Adaptive ERT calculation
    • Function Export with references
    • Application Release Automation Integration
    • Automic Web Interface
      • Global search
      • Administrationperspective
        • Agentssheet
    Are there any others?
